About BALL905
BALL905 Youth Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering the growth and development of young basketball players in the Peel and Halton regions. As an Ontario Basketball Association (OBA) affiliated club and a Canada Basketball Verified Program, we are committed to providing a positive, high-quality, and competitive environment for our athletes.
Our mission is to develop youth basketball players to their fullest potential, both on and off the court. We strive to create an environment that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and personal growth, ensuring that every player has the opportunity to excel and succeed.
Development: With a focus on Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD), the BALL905 Rep Program is designed to support players’ growth at every stage of their basketball journey. This comprehensive approach includes enhancing technical skills, physical conditioning, and mental resilience to prepare athletes for success at all levels.
Teamwork: At BALL905, we build strong team culture and emphasize the importance of being part of the BALL905 family. We create an environment where players support one another, work together towards common goals, and develop lasting relationships that extend beyond the court.
Excellence: Our commitment to excellence drives us to continuously improve our programs and support our athletes in reaching their highest potential. We encourage a strong work ethic, dedication, and a pursuit of personal and athletic growth, on and off the court.
By aligning with OBA and Canada Basketball standards, we ensure that our programs meet high-quality benchmarks, providing our athletes with the best opportunities for development and competitive play.
The BALL905 Rep Basketball Program is designed for youth players (U10-U18) from Mississauga, Brampton, and surrounding areas who are excited about taking their game to a competitive level. Our program aims to provide a high-quality, growth-oriented environment — giving dedicated youth athletes the opportunity to join a rep team, enhance their skills, and compete at a higher level, all while fostering their love of the game

BALL905 offers two pathways tailored to different levels of rep competition and development: the Rep Program and the Elite Program. Here’s how they differ:
Rep Program: This pathway is tailored for youth athletes (U10-U18) looking to improve their skills and compete regionally at the rep level. It focuses on comprehensive development, expanding and improving fundamental team/individual skills, gaining basketball IQ, and providing players with opportunities to grow as well-rounded athletes.
Elite Program: For advanced athletes (U14-U18), the Elite Program is specifically for Division 1 and 2 level competition and offers training and exposure for basketball athletes serious about taking their game to a higher level. This pathway includes three practices per week, combining team sessions with Skills & Conditioning to prepare players for top-level competition.
Whether you’re joining the Rep Program for focused skill development or exploring the Elite Program for advanced training and competition, BALL905 is dedicated to helping athletes achieve their best and thrive in their basketball journey.
Tryouts are designed to assess each player’s skills, athleticism, and attitude through drills, scrimmages, and other activities. Our coaching staff will evaluate players and select teams based on overall performance, potential, and what fits best for their team’s roster.
If your child isn’t selected for a Rep team, they may be offered a spot as a practice player or in our skill development program. This program focuses on improving specific skills and preparing athletes for rep, ensuring they continue to progress.
The Rep Program requires a strong commitment to the team throughout the season. Players are expected to attend all scheduled practices (2-3 times per week) and participate in game weekends. Consistent attendance and effort are key to each player’s development.
We understand that players may have other activities or commitments. However, we ask that you communicate any conflicts with your coach as early as possible. While we strive to be flexible, we also expect a high level of commitment to the team.
The fee for the 2024-2025 Rep Program is $2250 per player. This covers coaching, gym rentals, league fees, uniforms, and more. We strive to offer value while maintaining the highest quality of training and support.
Fees can be paid in full or via payment plans (5 monthly payments of $450, Sept-Jan. Credit/debit card only). More information regarding registration and payment will be sent to players who make the team.
*Please note pricing may vary for Elite teams due to extended structure of this pathway.
- U10-U12 Teams: In the Ontario Basketball League (OBL), at this level, players receive equal playing time. In other leagues, playing time may be up to the coach’s discretion and is earned (based on varying factors such as skill, talent, athleticism, effort, attendance, team/game dynamics, etc.).
- U13+ Competitive Rep Teams: For older age groups, playing time is earned and determined by the coaches. Factors influencing playing time include athleticism, skill, talent, effort, attendance, attitude, and the dynamics of the team and game.
We understand playing time can be a concern for players and parents, so we encourage you to clarify with your coach first as they will establish team expectations at the start of the season. Beyond that, we encourage parents to respect coaches as they do their best to work with their teams.
Yes, there are several opportunities to volunteer with the BALL905 Rep Program! You can get involved as a coach or team manager. For coach volunteers, we can help get you certified with NCCP and get you started on your coaching journey.
